INFORMATION QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is there a consult fee?

Yes, there is a $250 consultation fee, which will be applied toward same-day treatments. You will not be charged a consult fee for pre-op, post-op or post-treatment consults requested by Dr. Alessi.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment to respect the doctor’s and other patients’ time.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance for spa or cosmetic surgery services; insurance may apply for medically necessary hospital-based procedures.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

We do not offer in-house financing or payment plans. Same-day treatments require payment in full immediately following the procedure. For surgeries or procedures involving sedation, payment must be completed 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

Do I need to prepare for my appointment?

New patient forms are sent in advance. Please complete them before your visit or arrive 15 minutes early to fill them out.

Can I get treated the same day as my consult?

We try to provide same-day treatment when appropriate, though some procedures require a separate visit for timing or preparation.

Can I get treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Cosmetic treatments are not performed during pregnancy; breastfeeding patients are evaluated case-by-case and some treatments may be deferred.

Who will I be seeing during my visit?

You will be seen and treated directly by Dr. Alessi.

How do I know if I’m ready for plastic surgery?

You may be ready if you are in good health, have realistic expectations, personal motivations, and a consultation confirms you’re a suitable candidate.

Why is Sculptra paid a week in advance?

Sculptra is paid for in advance because it is expensive and requires reconstitution (mixing with sterile water) at least 5 days before the appointment to ensure it is fully hydrated, which helps prevent lumps and nodules. If a patient cancels last minute, the prepared product cannot be saved, resulting in significant cost loss.
